Meredith and I are going on vacation tomorrow. I have spent the evening cleaning the bathroom so I am in a bleach stupor.
Last week I posted the first "Jesus Song" I had written in a long time. Except for some country songs (long live Prison Tattoo), I haven't actually written in years. I was doing some consulting work this week and I wanted to write tutorial for my client on Garageband, so I decided to do some recording. I didn't edit or even add any effects so I consider this to be a really rough demo, but I like the way the song turned out. Give it a listen Download jesus_is_my_friend.mp3

sounds great, but what's the deal with the steel guitar?

You don't like the steel David? That is the instrument that has gotten me more jobs than anything else.:)

Thanks for sharing that bro! I like the steel and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Rock the steel!

It sounds like old school Wilco.

David is an old friend that loves ribbing me.
Thanks for the feedback. I am thinking of working on an entire record in this style doing half old hymns and half originals.
